8 Questions With Christie From Ckanani
Q. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your blog?
I am Christie, a San Francisco based travel photographer. My blog, ckanani.com, is a place for adventurous souls with a love for colorful landscapes and adventures of any kind! I share travel recommendations as well as photography tips and tricks.
Q. What inspired you to start blogging?
As a photographer I was naturally drawn to Instagram as a way to share photos from my travels with people around the world. As people would see my images more and more, they'd want to hear recommendations for the places I shared photos of and eventually, it no longer made sense to try to relay that info via Instagram. So the blog was more of an afterthought to Instagram and although I don't love writing, I have started to really enjoy sharing my experiences on my blog!
Q. What camera do you use?
I have a few different ones but these days I find myself almost solely using my Canon 6D with the Canon 35mm f1.4L lens.
Q. Where is the most photogenic place you have ever been to?
Positano, hands down :) I'm also a huge fan of Interlaken, Paris, and the Croatian islands.
Q. What do you typically carry inside your GATTA bag?
My Canon 6D, credit cards, my ID, keys, a pair of aviators, Aquaphor, and a lipstick or two.
Q. What do you like about your GATTA bag?
I like that it doesn't look like a camera bag! When I travel I try to pack as light as possible which means I don't bring an additional non-tote bag with me. Since my GATTA bag is so cute, I use it as my purse when I go out even when I'm not bringing my camera.
Q. What’s your best photography advice?
To practice as much as you can. Practice makes perfect! Same goes for editing.
